Hey friends! I hope all has been well with you and everyone is staying safe and healthy! 💜 I’ve just got a little something on my heart today that I wanna share with y’all and whether or not you’ve been here before, you stick around, or you skim over this post and never come across my blog again, I truly hope what you’re about to read ignites a flame of hope in your heart today. 💜 God bless you!
We are living in a fast-paced, hectic, “never slowing down to take a breath” type of world. I’m not sure any of us are 100% satisfied with where we’re at in our lives.
Think about it; whether it’s children, a spouse, a vacation, a job, a home, an education, or something else, all of us are wanting something. In some way or another, we’re wanting to move. And if you’re anything like me, you cannot bare it when you’re not – sitting still is one of the absolute hardest things for you to do.
Well friend, whether you’re that type of person or even the type that could literally sit still all day long and be perfectly content, God placed something on my heart minutes ago that I want to share with you today.
Perhaps you’re in a season of waiting at whatever point in your life that you’re reading this. Maybe you’ve been asking, and asking, and asking God for something, and for whatever reason, that prayer has yet to be answered. Maybe you’re praying that God would move you from the place you’re in right in this very moment and it just isn’t happening.
If that’s the case – if you’re praying to be moved – consider this: maybe the reason God hasn’t moved you from that spot yet, is because you still have purpose where you’re at. You still have things to do, people to inspire, and lives to touch right where you’re at.
Maybe the reason God hasn’t moved you or answered that prayer is because you’re not yet fully prepared to receive what it is He has planned for you.
Maybe God keeps saying “no” and allowing certain doors to close because He doesn’t want you settling for anything less than the best that He has for you.
Maybe God has a plan so intricate and refined and magnificent that you haven’t seen yet. Maybe He needs you to stop squirming in the seat that you’re in long enough for you to hear Him say, “I’ve got you.”
Maybe He’s asking you to trust that He sees you. That He hears you. That He knows your current circumstances, but is preparing you and shaping you so marvelously that you can’t get up and move at just any point in time. Maybe He’s making sure you’re fully ready to receive His blessing.
Whatever the reason God may be keeping you right where you’re at today, take comfort in this: He never once called us to “figure it out,” or “deal with it on your own,” or “understand what He’s doing.”
No.
Instead, He’s called us to know Him – to have a relationship with Him – and to trust that He knows what He’s doing. Maybe we can’t see it right now, friends, but God is always working. Any time His child is praying, God’s hand is on something somewhere and He is working.
It’s also important to remember Jesus’ words above our own: “not my will, but thine, be done.” -(Luke 22:42) After all, God knows what’s best for us far better than we do. So wherever you’re at in life today, I pray that you would rest and take comfort in Psalm 46:10. May your weary heart find peace in God and God alone. 💜
“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”
Psalm 46:10 KJV
Thank you for taking the time to read these words today and I hope they bring as much hope and joy to your heart as they did to mine when God gave them to me. Never forget how much Jesus loves you and how very, very special and important you are to Him. Have a blessed day!
Good words Daelynn! Yes, there was a time in my life that seemed crazy and I wanted to give up. But I didn’t, and a change came that was better than I ever expected! Sometimes we just have to trust, do our best, and wait to see what God has planned! Blessings to you! 🙏😊

I cannot tell you how much the words in this blog are needed right now. Currently, I am waiting to go home to my boyfriend who is halfway around the world, and cannot do so because of the border closures. We have been waiting almost 2 years now, but God is so good and he is preparing us I am sure for what he has in store. THis was a beautiful read! Are you on any other media platforms? Do let me know 🙂 God Bless you sis!
